An International Conference held in Koya on the Road of Civilization

The International Conference held in koya for 3 days. On 1st April at 10 a.m. in Koya university- presidency hall- with attending the president and his assistants, the teaching staff, Koya University students, and a large number of guests from inside Iraq and abroad. With participating of professionals from local and international academics in the fields of archaeology, history, geography, language, and different professions from Kurdistan, Iraq, Czech, Austria, Germany, and Portuguese the conference started.
On the first day of the conference, in the morning, Prof. Dr. Wali M. Hamad the president of Koya University delivered a speech. Then the scientific committee article read by Prof. Dr. Haydar Lashkry the vice president of scientific affairs.

The First Day
Koya Geography
Koya Geography was the title of the first panel at 2:30 p.m. in Koya University presidency hall and ran by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ashty Salam. The participants of the panel were:

Modern Poetry in Koya
The Modern Poetry in koya was the title of the second panel from the same day of the conference from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. in Koya University Presidency hall B and ran by Prof. Dr. Jalal A. Saeed. The participants were:

On the same day, archaeologists and constructionists went out to visit the historical places of Koya city. In addition, a number of cultural and art activities were done under the Umbrella Organization for developments with Tourism Directorate of Koya, Lapzerin Cultural Cell, Zuiside Organization, Haibatsultan Mountaineering Group, Youth Activity Center and Bahar Idris.
Prof. Cinzia Pappi from Innsbruck University –Austria and Azady University in Berlin – Germany was one of the keynote speakers and he is a profession in Mesopotamia archaeology said” 10 years before now, I decided to come to Kurdistan to conduct a scientific project in archaeology. I have a long history with Koya University.
In 2010, I worked on a project in Satuqala. After that with Koya University, we decided to make an archaeological scan for Koya area in 2015. Therefore, both Prof.Dr. Wali M. Hamad, Prof.Dr. Haydar Lashkry the vice president and our department in Austria University have signed an agreement for logistic aid to run the project. I have also suggested opening a training course for History and geography department students in a way that they will be directly working with us in exploration places practically to know how to deal with these actions”.
He added in response to a question about his contribution to the conference” I was the first speaker and I gave information to our projects. The reason for being here from 2015 until now is to rewrite the history of Kurdistan because the history of this area is older than what you know. So we can say that Koya area is a multicultural and civilization place.
